Spectron Category 4
- Developed to offer maximum eye protection at high altitudes and to eliminate reflections.
- Coating: hydrophobic / anti-reflective
- Visible Light Transmission (VLT): 5%
Regarding sunlight conditions:
- Category 0 lenses are recommended for use in very low light conditions or in the evening. The visible light transmission (VLT) rate is between 80 and 100%.
- Category 1 lenses are recommended for use in low light conditions or cloudy weather. The VLT rate is between 43 and 80%.
- Category 2 lenses are recommended for use in medium light conditions or partly sunny weather. The VLT rate is between 18 and 43%.
- Category 3 lenses are recommended for use in bright light conditions or sunny weather. The VLT rate is between 8 and 18%.
- Category 4 lenses are recommended for use in very bright light conditions, such as in high mountains. The VLT rate is between 3 and 8%.
- Photochromic lenses adapt to light conditions by lightening when the weather is cloudy and darkening when the weather is sunny.
