Like all knives from the My First Opinel range, the N°7 is a knife for children ideal for forest walks and small DIY projects.
Its rounded tip offers greater user safety and is also very practical for spreading.
The smooth blade is incredibly practical, easy to clean, and quick to open.
We appreciate the Virobloc locking mechanism which allows the knife to be kept folded for safe travel or in a secure open position during use.
In exchange for a coin, to respect tradition, give your child their first knife!
Whether they are a little adventurer, a little DIYer, a little foodie, or all three, the N°7 My First Opinel knife will contribute to their awakening in complete safety.

Technologies used:
Sandvik Stainless Steel: The modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel developed for Opinel is known for its sharpness and ease of maintenance. The stainless steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, which allows for a very satisfactory edge without being susceptible to corrosion.
Rounded Tip Blade: The tip of the blade is rounded to offer greater user safety. It is also an ideal blade for spreading.
Handle: The hornbeam comes from French farms. It is a white wood with little grain, ideal for applying colors without distorting them. The handle is varnished for better protection against moisture and dirt.
Safety Ring: Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the Virobloc safety ring equips all folding knives from N°06 onwards. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (user safety), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (transport safety).
Ideal for whittling with cub scouts
