Great hiking boot. Appears to grip well on all surfaces. So far so good after 5 hill walks.
Super boot. Stiffer than expected and far more so than the Asolo Zion boots they replace. They aren't stiff enough for crampons but would be supportive enough for all day trekking. Initially, I wanted a softer sole like the Zion's, so I could wear them for park trail walks as well as driving and down the pub. The Drifters are a little too stiff for that but I'm happy with them nonetheless. I haven't been driving in them yet but I will at some point and if they are totally unsuitable I will update my review. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase as Hardloop had a discount voucher for 15% available, which I used on top of the initial sale price. It brought the cost down to around £120 with free delivery to the UK. That's over a 30% discount from the retail price of £190. So I've bought a super pair of good looking, modern lightweight walking boots for the price of a pair of trainers.
